Well, you of course, right?
Maybe. But what if your thoughts are actually a congealed blend of other people’s beliefs and your own from when you were just a child?
That idea used to shake me.
The thought that my beliefs were shaped by others? That the wide-eyed, innocent little girl I once was — taking in life through an unfiltered, inexperienced lens — helped form the core of my inner dialogue? And yet… that’s exactly how it happens.
We grow by observing others, learning from “mistakes,” and creating internal narratives that become the self-talk we carry into adulthood.
And over time, those thoughts become the foundation of our belief system — the quiet programming that shapes our emotional undercurrents, colors our judgments, and steers our decisions.
This whole process fascinates me.
It’s one of the reasons I became a Certified Hypnotherapist — to help people move beyond outdated, unconscious beliefs and finally discover what they truly want.
